Stock – Issues, Batch Issues And Chargeable Issues
Issues
Purpose:
Use this movement type to record issues of material to a Job, and to charge to departments or others for materials used. This can also be used to write off stock to a scrap expense account if the expiry date is exceeeded. This can then be compared to the obsolescence provision.
Processing:
On the main menu click Stock > Movements > Issues to open form.
Complete the form – see Stock Issue form – below.
Click OK to update records, and;
Print transaction as required – see Printing Reports.
Close form.
- In Stock: Shows quantity of Free Stock.
- Date: Either: Manual entry formatted as DD/MM/YY. Type over the parts of the date you wish to change – the system will skip over the “/” part itself. If the date you enter is invalid; the cursor will return to the start of the date and await a valid entry, or; click on the field to highlight data – white on a blue background – then right click to open the Calendar Menu – see Dates and Calendar.
- Reference: Mandatory. Enter a unique reference to identify this transaction.
- Job Analysis: Check to open a form to allocate the stock issue to a Job.
- OK: Display Warning Message box – Stock could go below minimum level/Negative – Click Yes to accept and update record or click No to return to form without update.
- Message Box opens – Print transaction? – click Yes to open Printing Reports.
- Select Print/printer to use/Display/export report to a specified file format.
- Click OK to Print/Display/export report.
- Close form.
- Record is updated and transaction appears on Stock Enquiry form.
Batch Issues
Purpose:
Use this transaction type to book several items at once out of stock.
Processing:
Click Stock > Movements > Batch Issues to open form.
Complete the form – see Batch Issues form – below.
Click OK to update records, and;
Print transactions as required – see Printing Reports.
To close form click Cancel..
Used to issue components to assemblies and other batch issues where they are part of a batch.
Add line – click then enter details.
Chargeable Issues
Purpose:
Use this movement type to both record issues in both Stock Records and the Nominal Ledger. As an example, this could be used to record the cost of stock free issued to a third party for subsequent inclusion in an assembly.
Processing:
On the main menu click Stock > Movements > Chargeable Issues to open form.
Complete the form – see Chargeable Issues form below.
Click OK to update records, and;
Print transaction as required – see Printing Reports.
Close form.
